Multi-stakeholder dialogue at AFFON Tanahu.

Association of Family Forest Owners Nepal (AFFON) Tahanu  organized multi-stakeholder dialogue at DFOs office, Tanahu on September 14, 2016. The dialogue ended well with all the stakeholders agreeing to take up the agendas of family forest. Mr. Mukti Timilsina, Chairperson AFFON Tanahu, emphasized on the need of holding such dialogues  at regular basis that would lead to better communication and coordination among the stakeholders.

The dialogue program further continued with familiarization on "Livelihood improvement of the family forest owners of Bharbhanjyang and Bhanu VDC of Tanahu district from Agro-forestry"  new project by AFFON that has been supported by Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) under its Forest and Farm Facility (FFF) program.AFFON Central Office currently is supporting the AFFON Tanahu on logistics for the baseline survey, first step towards the implementation of the projectThe baseline survey is expected to unravel the prospects of forest based enterprises including the possible alternatives.
